Transformation	July 23, 2001
The Dream: I was with my brother and something was falling and it was going to land on him. I yelled at him and he looked up and then transformed himself into a red yellow type square. The thing fell and it vibrated the red square onto the ground. It then transformed back into my brother. I was like hey can you teach me that and he starts to explain it to me. Someone is coming and I stand in front of them willing myself to disappear as I know I have before in times of great distress and need. Afterwards, my brother lays down on the ground and is explaining how energy is like a computer grid and he is plotting these cross grids above his head one, two, three and explaining that somehow you can connect on this grid and transform your physicality to something else. After he transformed into the red square he said, what did it look like. He said, "I can see out of whatever I have become but I can never see what I am." There is a piece with a scientist and we were looking at all these blue animals, like a chicken with a blue yoke and he says, "Yeah, I used to think they were blue until one day my sunglasses fell off and then I realized that the glasses made them appear blue." And just then, I tilted my head, looking over the glasses and saw that all the parts of the animals that I thought were blue were actually white but my sunglasses were doing the same thing. Weird. Insights and Interpretations: Huh! Seems as if the second piece might be saying the same thing as the first. That it is difficult to see what you have become from the inside out. Or, that ones perceptions are colored by the "sunglasses" they use in life. In a bigger sense, the first piece says something much more personal to me... that as I change, I might not be aware of the changes occurring because my perception of the self can't be viewed by the self. Therefore...my question is, do I have to rely on others to project back to me for me to see what changes are occurring? Everything was so scientific as if I could really understand it in a measured way if I only knew what it was I was supposed to measure (or change). The fact that I am using my brother here as a metaphor (oddly enough, I rarely see him) is quite interesting...not only because I rarely see him but as a metaphor it serves as a family symbol, and resemblance...or likeness to my self.
